In our 60th year we look ahead to the emerging trends that will shape the future of transport.
Technology is poised to transform the way mobility services are designed, managed and used, through the rise of transport information modelling, the Internet of Things, and near-ubiquitous smartphone ownership. The availability of increasingly accurate, rich and immediate data will enhance the safety, reliability and capacity of transport infrastructure while also allowing people to plan multi-modal journeys that adapt to changing circumstances en route. Our report examines these trends and analyses their impact.
