Phoenix Park Parking Strategy

Phoenix Park Parking Strategy

One of the key recommendations of the Phoenix Park Transport & Mobility Study is the undertaking of a Parking Strategy for the Phoenix Park. SYSTRA Ltd (SYSTRA) has been engaged to develop the new Parking Strategy, on behalf of the Office of Public Works (OPW).

The Parking Strategy considers both vehicular and cycle parking within the boundary of the Phoenix Park, as well as potential impacts on the immediate surrounding area. The term cycle is used to refer to all types of bicycles, cargo bikes and adapted cycles. The Strategy also addresses the needs and parking requirements of those with mobility issues.

A non-statutory public consultation period is being undertaken to seek the views of the public on the draft Parking Strategy.

A draft version of the Parking Strategy can be found at this link. The Strategy provides a comprehensive vision for parking management in the Phoenix Park and complements existing wider plans, policies and strategies adopted by both the OPW and key stakeholders.
